Visitors will find us in one of America’s most historic and scenic coastal resorts, Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Now in our 36th year, we offer our patrons fine art in a variety of styles and media. We limit our artists and offerings to those who have achieved a high level of accomplishment reflected in their distinctive style. Paintings, sculpture, and ceramics are among the offerings.
Cheryl Newby Gallery represents a number of nationally and regionally recognized painters and sculptors. Among those represented are the highly acclaimed impressionist painter, the late, Ray Ellis of Martha’s Vineyard; abstract painter Laura Edwards (VA); South Carolina painters William McCullough, and Mike Williams, landscape painter Paula Holtzclaw OPA (NC); still-life artist, Ellen Buselli OPA (NY); Award Winning Pastel artist Lisa Gleim (GA); Florida watercolorist Martha dePoo, National Academy of Design member, the late Donald Holden, Plein air Painter Linda Arnold (NY); master Egg Tempera painter, Daniel Ambrose (FL); ceramic artist Glenda Taylor (FL). The gallery represents a growing number of American award winning sculptors: Amy Kann FNSS (PA), Gwen Marcus FNSS (NY), Catherine Ferrell (FL), and Sandy Scott, FNSS (WY).
We are pleased to announce that we now representing Tony Hochstetler, a Fellow of the National Sculpture Society. His repertoire of work revolves around amphibian, reptile, insect, marine life, and the occasional odd mammal. A seasoned sculptor, his bronzes have been featured in numerous publications, and he has been the recipient of multiple awards for his wildlife sculpture. Hochstetler has had one-man shows and participated in museum exhibitions throughout the United States. He also is a Signature member of the Society of Animal Artists.
While having acquired many loyal patrons, both private and corporate, this gallery continuously makes welcome and enjoys providing assistance to the novice collector.
